A lottery for what? If I am guessing right… your talking about having a lottery BEFORE official sign ups begin. You thrown names into the lottery and if your name is drawn you pick your peak early?

Or… a blind draw to choose peaks??

SO long as New Hampshire is hiking… it’ll rain for sure. 😥

My flag is not very heavy at all. Light nylon…

The tree at the true summit is at least 40 feet tall. I can climb quite a ways up it as well. I’m gonna head up there in the next few weeks to scout it out.

                    An absolute pleasure.

We also plan to fly the WORLD FLAG on the same pole as the American Flag. Of course the American flag will fly higher. Both flags will be above the trees.

If by chance it becomes up for grabs again… I could use it for Owls Head!

                        TFR..

You get a magnificent view of the Pemigewasset Wilderness from Tom. You can see Carrigain, the Hancocks, Bondcliff, Bond, Guyot (not an official 4K), South Twin, Zealand and Hale. I think thats all of em. Bring the big lens!

I vote we have a major post gathering at the KOA.

Lousy weather or not… it was GREAT to be a part of this magnificent memorial.

                                Thanks Jay and Cal.

The folks from Rocks on Top will be having our first ever gathering this same weekend, and I am sure many are anxious to join in with their input for this fantastic event. Heck.. many of them are all ready previous FOT48 planners.

                                See you all there!

I know you guys are trying to ensure everyone in the hiking community has a chance to be involved in this activity.. but I would like to see the folks who had reistered to be A peak Coordinator for a given peak be given preference in an EARLY sign up process for the list of peaks THIS year.

                                  Just a suggestion
