The 36″ telescopic poles used on Zealand for the past two years have been spoken for by a fine woman with a hiking addiction!!!
😀
Thank you all for comming.

If it happens to come up for grabs again, it’s all yours. I am waiting to hear back from the woman that laid claim to it first.
I wonder if there is enough room on Owls Head to set it up. Is the clearing similar to Zealand?

July 11, 2006 at 1:48 amPost count: 1307John it’s a fairly easy design. How tall do you think you’ll need to have it to get it over the tree’s. Also, how heavy is your flag. I may be able to help you on this one.

July 11, 2006 at 2:30 amPost count: 71My flag is not very heavy at all. Light nylon…
The tree at the true summit is at least 40 feet tall. I can climb quite a ways up it as well. I’m gonna head up there in the next few weeks to scout it out.

July 11, 2006 at 1:09 pmPost count: 1307Take pictures and email them to me. Also just for kicks, get a diameter of the tree where you think we could anchor it. How tall is your flag?

July 11, 2006 at 4:32 pmPost count: 64I still like the idea of tieing the flag to a helium balloon for Owls head. If anyone can get helium tank to Owls head it has to be SJ. :flag:

July 12, 2006 at 12:06 amPost count: 372Let’s see, a few helium filled balloons filled at Market Basket, Shaws, etc., a hank of thin rope, a 5′ x 7′ flag. Yes, it’ll work fine. All ideas are good!
