Rit… I understand the policies and ideas you have in place currently. But if you really wanted to err on the side of lnt and lessening the impacts on certain areas… Why have a group size limit of 10 when you all ready anticipate that number to be exceeded by stragglers?

Not trying to stir a pot.. Just trying to figure out a way we can all participate in this event and be more mindful of fragile areas.

I attended the meeting and was a tad disappointed in the turn-out. Perhaps weather related?

Remember what this is about folks… there’s 3,000+ individuals who don’t feel the rain or hear the thunder anymore. :flag:

Is this a thread STRICLTY for suggestions?? Or will debate over suggestions made be involved as well??

In any case here are two that I have in my mind now.

1.) No pre-registration of peaks for ANYONE including the Boy Scouts. Preference should ONLY be given to those with disabilities who wish to take on a “reserved” peak for them specificly (ie. Washington, Cannon, Wildcat D)

2.) Web adjustments to the Gallery should be made in enough time prior to the event, so that folks can have as easy and quick a time as possible in uploading pics post event.

I hope others will take the time to bravely post their suggestions as well. Remember, it only gets better through feedback!

Thanks again for the steering committees hard work!

Most times while walking OUT from Owls Head on the Wilderness Trail you hear a litany of complaints… even more so when its raining cats and dogs. But this time it was different.. we knew our purpose and we were simply happy to be alive in our free world. I’ll hike ANYWHERE for FOT48 in ANY WEATHER.

GREAT video Spongebob… I brought my cam to make a video… but… Alas.. I never charged the battery and the cam died somewhere on the wilderness trail.

                                Maybe next year.

LOVED your work though. I had no idea you were even filming!
