      I shot an e-mail to Dundare’s group regarding the Hancocks. Since they have a large group they agreed to take both North and South Hancock freeing up my wife and I, so we will now cover Middle Carter.

              I figured South Hancock would be the more accessible of the two based on elevation gains and distances. Although I could be mistaken.

              And if for some reason you have to cancel my wife and I could still cover both summits as was originally planned.

                Would you like one of the Hancocks?

                My wife and I signed up for both peaks figuring if we did one we might as well hit the other one too since they were both in close proximity to each other and nobody had yet expressed interest in either summit.
                But if you’d like to take over responsibility for one of the summits that’s completely fine with us.

                  What if the log book was set-up so that each section where a message could be entered also had a check box that said something to the effect of “Check here if you consent to having your message publicly displayed on http://www.flagsonthe48.com“
                  People could also be given the option to remain anonymous but still have their message seen.

                      I already signed up for the Hancocks, but if you are really desperate for on-call people I can do that instead.

                        In addition to back-ups on specific peaks, it would be nice to have a small group of back-up hikers who are alright with not being assigned to any specific peak ahead of time — hikers who will be willing to hit any peak that gets dropped.

                        Just a thought. :flag:
