Hi everyone! Just to clarify- we are meeting at the Liberty Springs Trailhead off of Rt. 3 in Lincoln by 7 to get a 7:30 start. I’ve heard from a few of you but if the others could reach out as well so that I know your plan, I’d appreciate that. Thank you!

        Hey Christel,

We may be able to help if the first come first serve doesn’t pan out. I may be getting up there later than you so if you need help when I get there, I’m sure we can figure something out. Looking forward to it!

I just wanted to thank everybody that assisted with the flag and joined us in a wonderful ceremony atop Mt. Carraigain yesterday! This event means so much to me and everyone I’m close to and I couldn’t complete it without the support of everyone involved. I hope everyone enjoyed the event and isn’t too sore or injured today.

I had mentioned this to someone but please feel free to post pictures on Facebook and on this site. I only took a few and I usually rely on the photographers in the group.

Again, thank you so much for joining. See you next year!

            Hi everybody!

Looks like some nice weather for the event Saturday! Please still remember to bring plenty of warm clothing. We are still hoping everyone can meet at the signal ridge trailhead around 0800AM for an 0830AM departure. If you feel you may need more time to hike the 5mi ascent, please don’t hesitate to get there earlier and meet us at the top.

There are five different sections of the pole that will be passed around as we ascend for anyone willing to help. There is also a variety of different miscellaneous pieces of gear that we will be bringing up to assemble the flag pole. I tested it all out today and all seems well. Feel free to bring patriotic gear!

I’ve been in communication with a variety of people and it looks like we will have a solid group! Please reach out with any questions to philipsheehy217@yahoo.com

            See you Saturday!

              Hi Kelly,

Glad to see you joining us this year! Congrats on hiking over half of the 48s. For Saturday, make sure to bring the 10 essentials and plenty of warm clothes. The hike will follow along a brook for a while and we can pull water from there on the way up. I usually bring a lunch and a bunch of snacks to have at the top while we hang around. Some people brings hammocks to lay in as well. Other than those items, just prepare for the weather and to stay above treeline for 2+ hours weather dependent. If you need a more specific list of gear items, email me at philipsheehy217@yahoo.com thanks!

Hi All. Going to update the start time to 8AM. Let’s all plan to meet by 730 to split up gear. 8AM should still give us Ample time to reach the top and set up. THANK YOU!
