Call me mentally ill, but the wind sounds like fun. 🙂

We’d be honored to have you on Monroe if you haven’t found a peak yet. We’ll even have some musicians there so that may add to your memorial.

        Thanks,
        Chris

I think the biggest problem you’re going to have is with the guy lines. In order to keep the pole from falling you’ll need several lines, and they will interfere with the flag’s ability to rotate around the pole. You’re going to end up with a tangled mess. But I love the idea of flying the biggest flag you can!

Sounds great Guido, I’m the Peak Coordinator for Monroe and have a good crew going. Looking forward to hearing the tunes!

Bill, there were a bunch of people that signed up for Zealand between yesterday and today, so I was only able to move three of your four people. That’s not a problem though, have all your people hike anyway. We just limit the signups to 10 people for LNT compliance.

Now if we could just get photos of all those peaks in the Gallery. Less than 100%, 10 years in a row! 🙁

Six hours and not one spammer has been able to register. Thank goodness. I think we have the problem solved. We’ll still need to upgrade, but now we can do it at our pace.

I’ve reinstalled an add-on that I thought we had, but wasn’t working well. It turns out during the last upgrade I wrote over it. Now that it’s back up and running, we haven’t gotten a single bot (spammer) registration (three hours and counting).

                            Hey Joe,

See the topic above, The Gallery is Currently Sick http://forums.flagsonthe48.org/viewtopic.php?t=3066

We’re having some technical issues and hope to have them addressed when we upgrade everything.

                            thanks,
                            Chris

Would you be willing to post those pictures in the Gallery as well? Ideally we’d like to have all peaks’ photos in the gallery for everyone to enjoy.

                              Thanks,
                              Chris

The only thing we really do when we require approval is move the problem. Instead of removing annoying email, we’re denying annoying registrations. But we can see how it works. I’d hate to have legitimate people waiting for us to approve them, we’d need to be online every day, which is tougher than you’d think! Let’s see how it works and we can go from there.

Hmmm, that’s odd. I’ll look into it.
