      Hi Joe,

Of course you can bring your son. I’m not sure what an OEF veteran is. The trailhead is the one off 116 https://goo.gl/maps/tCYRkFPF3aNqfBZo9 that’s the link but google maps has it listed too. If you have never been to that trailhead there is a sign for it but it is sideways to the road so you need to keep an eye out for it.

Team I need your input for start time we will have to hike the road which is 1.5 miles. This makes the hike around 5 miles. What is a start time at hiker parking is everyone comfortable with?

            UPDATE!!!!!

I’M GOING TO CHANGE THE START TIME TO 8:30AM. IF EVERYTHING GOES WELL IT WILL GIVE US A 30 MINUTE WINDOW TO RAISE THE FLAG.
I still want to go Gorge Brook and down Carriage to Snapper but we can call an audible when we are up at the summit. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

For Mt Lincoln. We will take the Falling Waters Trail to Franconia Ridge Trail to Mt Lincoln. It took me 3 hours to summit the other day. I’m not a fast hiker so I would like to plan for a 7:30am on trail start getting all business taken care of before that. I have the flagpole, Flag, about 500ft of paracord. I would like to be at the summit by 11am to make sure we have enough time to get the flagpole prepared for flying. Probably don’t have to say it but make sure you bring plenty of layers, hats and mittens a must. There is limited shelter from the wind up there. Bring your own lunch and maybe something to share. If we are blessed with a beautiful day we will have a great vantage point for viewing flags along the whole ridge over to Cannon, maybe someone has binoculars or a camera with an awesome lens? Please voice any suggestions or concerns.
