Our hiking crew of 9 left the Ferncroft parking lot at 8:45. We wished the crew for Passaconaway a great hike and looked forward to seeing their flag. The hike was a long hot one. 8) Lot’s of good conversation on the the hike up. Lot’s of help getting up the ledges with all our supplies. We arrived up top at 11:30. The Captain Douglas DiCenzo flag was unfurled and blew beautifully in the breeze. Our memories of Doug, all the Military men and women and the victims of 9/11 were in our hearts and prayers. We didn’t have any visitors, but we all enjoyed the hike and the companionship. We couldn’t see any other peaks, the weather was too cloudy. Thanks to Kathy,Ed, Jackie, Sierra, Bud, Fran, Rich and Mark for helping make this day special. WE look forward to next year. :flag:
