Great Team for Lincoln which included members of the NH Air National Guard (plus few family members; Steven14, Eian14, Matt8),Mtnpa (veteran Fot48er-big thanks to him), & team dog Anna. As many have said,the weather added some excitement and a couple challenges, but we summited by way of Falling Waters & Little Haystack in plenty of time to hoist colors at noon. Our 25′ pole bent significantly under the high winds, but held strong for over 2 hrs. Unfortunately being socked in didn’t allow us to enjoy the views long or observe other peaks, but we knew flags were flying all around us, good job by all :flag:
It still amazes me how many people still don’t know about this event……”why are you flying the flag?” Or “What are those poles for?”, guess all part of why we are involved, raise awareness and ensure we never forget those who were lost and the many military members that were lost or suffered over the past 13yrs. 🙁
