Heyyyy!! Just wanted to contact everyone with the proposed plans for 9/11/16 flags.
Plan: Meetup at the North Twin trailhead with hopes to leave by 8am. This should give us leeway for a nice leisurely pace in hopes to summit by 11:30 to set up the flag for flying 12-2.
We do have a telescoping flagpole and flag for the event, but if anyone has any extra paracord lying around please bring it in case we need to tie it off at the summit. The flag pole is easy to carry, set up sling style it’s about 5ft long and 6 lbs in weight, so we could just switch off the duty of carrying it up as a team.
We did plan on continuing onto South Twin and Galehead. Our plan is to at least leave one car at the Gale River Trailhead prior to start.
