      Hello,

My name is Al (CT Trampers) and I am the peak coordinator for North Hancock. Our group, CT Trampers, consists of 8 hikers ages 5 thru 48. I am proud to say that we have been a part of every Flagsonthe48 event.

We have a flag and flag pole from our previous excursions that we will bring.

Our intended route is as follows:

Hancock Notch Trail to Cedar Brook Trail
Cedar Brook Trail to Hancock Loop Trail
Hancock loop (North link) to the summit.

We plan on being at the top in plenty of time to have the flag flying by 12:00 noon.

Thanks and looking forward to being on the trail!

        Hello Al,
We will be joining you this year as we tried to climb Hancock in 2011 but rerouted to Mt Clay after the Hurricane.
What is the meeting time for departure?

        Thanks

        Geoff

          Hi Geoff-

Accoring to the White Mountain Guide it should take 3 and 1/2 hours to reach North Hancock. Our planned departure to make sure that the flag is flying at 12:00 is 8:00. As I mentioned, we have 8 (now 10 actually) members in our group hiking, some slower, some faster than others- So, some of us may be arriving a bit later than noon, but we will make sure at least a few of us are up there to set up by noon. Seems ilke there will be a lot of us headed up there that day, but over the hike I am sure we’ll spread out.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 8th.
