We are keeping a close eye on this storm. Should this follow a similar track to Hurricane Irene, there is the chance that the event will be cancelled.

We do not wish to see folks get injured or trapped duw to high winds and or flash flooding.

I was just about to make a thread asking this question after checking the weather forecast. Let’s all hope it turns east and blows out to sea!

However, if not… is there any possibility of switching to Saturday in the event the hurricane tracks this way? Looks like Friday it is forecasted to be off the Carolinas. Or would the event definitely be cancelled?

edit: The latest track is showing it will be skimming the Cape late Friday into Saturday and be out to sea on Sunday

The most latest track has Katia missing New England entirely and way, way off over the northern Atlantic by Sunday.

False alarm. But the intial track was cause for concern. Great Britain though may get some tropical weather. That’s just shows how bizarre the weather is this year.
