Wow…I don’t even know how to thank all of you guys! I have done flags for a while now and this by far was the best one to date! The banner was awesome it really added alot to the memorial. I’m not sure I remember the hoisting method we used today so I guess you all will have to join us next year!

Hi my name is Shawn and I will be taking over as pc for Mt.Hale. I will stick with the origanal game plan of Hale brook trail and I will bring the flag and pole that I have been using in years past. If anyone has a flag or pole setup they would like to use thats great too! My screen name on this site is Darwin if you wish to pm me with any questions or concerns. Oh I almost forgot about a meeting time! We did this peak last year and 9am was definatly early enough to hit the summit well before noon if that is ok with everyone else.I am looking forward to meeting all of you that signed up for the hike!

Hello Brownie, Are you planning on completing the loop or going back down OBP? We are doing Lincoln and Most likely will be heading back down Falling waters. I was planning on some post hike libations in the northbound lot and hoped your team could join us.

I hiked the loop yesterday and decided 7am might be a bit early so as long as no one is opposed, 8am would be a better start time.

I started on Waumbek and had a great time, but since then I have become more invested in the event. My team has evolved and now look to more challenging peaks. I think having a first come first serve system works best. This ensures that the teams that have been involved in previous years will get the peaks they are looking to do. I anxiously await the sign-ups and write the date on my calender. For the teams that are newer to the event, even if they aren’t assigned “peak leader,” they are still a part of a tremendous effort. However, the non-hiker accessible peaks should remain reserved for those who cannot hike for whatever reason.

What are people looking for when you say a lottery system? What peaks? Exposed? Shorter mileage? It seems as if a lottery is imposed it may take away from teams that have hiked in previous years, or the teams that sign up at 6:01 pm on the sign-up date.
