Incredible day :flag: We met in the Lincoln Woods parking lot and left at 7:30. Some people stayed at the Liberty Springs campsite and started from there.
Book time from the parking lot was 4 Hrs. and 26 min. We arrived in 3 hrs. and 30 min. So remember that for furture hikes. The hike up was beautiful, the trails were in good shape, the colors where starting to break thru, the walk was just spectacular. Once we got to the ladders/stairs, the views to the wilderness were wonderful. When we broke the ridge near the summit the wind was chilling. As the day went on, the sun was out and the views breathtaking. We could look throughout the wilderness and see all the flags. The chopper visit was a great add on. We honored, we sang, we remember the people and their families. May we never forget. Thank you to all the hikers helping to secure the flags. We had four flags in total. Thank you, Dave, Mark R, Scott K, Garrett, Allison, Dan, Kathy, Ed, Sierra, Jacuqi,Bud, John, Kate, Sue and flag pole maker, Mark. Thank you to all the visitors to Mt. Flume and listening to the story of the heros of 9-11. Thank you to the organizers, we apppreicate all your efforts in this wonderful rememberance :flag:
